Access Platform Training
This course is designed to provide compliance with the HASAWA regulations. The working at height regulations, provision and use of work equipment regulations (PUWER) and the lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations (LOLER). Instructing delegates in all aspects of the safe and correct use of the equipment.

- Safe operating techniques
- PPE when using MEWPs
- Inspection and use of harnesses
- Understand the requirements of the relevant legislation
- Parking and securing MEWPs
- Suspension trauma

Facilities / requirements
A training room suitable for the number of delegates will be required. Sufficient practical training space will be required to carry out assessments and testing. Delegates will require PPE as per the company’s internal risk assessments.

Steps & Ladder Training
This course is to ensure all delegates are competent to: Assess and determine when it’s appropriate to use a ladder or stepladder and correctly locate and safely use ladders & stepladders.
Course content
- The Health & Safety at Work Act
- Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
- Legislation and regulations affecting work at height
- Product standards and classification for ladders & stepladders
- Safe systems of work and hazards
- Protecting the public and other workers
- PPE requirements / care / maintenance & use
- Safe storage & handling techniques
- Pre use safety checks
- Safe use of ladders, stepladders (as applicable)
- Theoretical and Practical testing
Experience required
No prior knowledge of topic required, delegates will need to be fit and capable of lifting and carrying ladders and stepladders.
